Spotted this during my resume distribution (picture below). on today's exchange rate it is equivalent to £1.78 ... good thing I don't have British confectionery cravings (yet)
Bad for your wallet
I have also reverted back to my days as a referee, qualified at a meek age of 14, not the best time of your life to enter such a career of verbal abuse. However, now I feel like i can take that mantle up again, I went to the local arena (en-route to the mall) and handed in a resume whilst signing up for the female football league. Would like to point out walking between these places was not an easy feat and already felt 'sun-kissed' or more like 'sun-smacked' walking 5 mins to the arena, rather overcome, and last time I'm attempting that walk during the daytime.
Work relatedness aside, Christian, Leo and I went to Northbridge for a spot of pool. Aside from the pool and the ice-cream parlour opposite, which by the way did the best cones I have ever nibbled with ice cream, I don't think any other reason would take me to this area as it is the backpacker/clubbing area of the city, where fights in clubs can involve gunfire (albeit rarely, and only if you are tied up in the gang warfare). Though to be fair, it is safe during the day and even up to 9pm and I hear there are some nice restaurants.
In other news there was a gigantic thunderstorm last night, with awed lightning displays, a fire outbreak on the horizon and the dog in the back garden was going berserk... and I slept through it all. Was told this morning. Though I appreciate my skill of 'dead log' sleeping, I rather like a good thunderstorm so gutted I missed out on this 'terrifying' one.
Stacking (falling off) the longboard later. Ciao
