So yea on other matters I have managed to land a job. After weeks of handing out/emailing my resume, I find an advertisement in the local paper and one trial shift later I have a job (no CV needed). That’s how life goes. So yea I am back to plying my highly refined hospitality skills in the catering business… in other words, waitressing, at an Italian Restaurant 5 minutes drive down the road. Unfortunately I cannot drive at the moment…something I’ve yet to get round to re-learning. However I do have bike access but thinking that cycling to work in heat might be an undesirable way to arrive for a shift. A friend has given me advice that 33’C and below is fine, anything over is too hot = sweaty.
I will be looking at further job options to get more hours, during the daytime as the waitressing is evening work so still sending out the resumes. I think the most interesting job I’ve applied for thus far is (note- vegetarians stop reading) at a Poultry factory – kill floor. No imagination needed to work out what that job would entail, but I reckon if I’m willing to eat it I should be willing to kill it.
In other news being on the underside of the earth seems to have knocked out my ability to bowl, or that is my elaborate excuse as to why I was abysmal at 10pin bowling the other night. Think I’ll do laser-tag next time, will probably fair much better… famous last words.
Here's some pictures from the begining of the holiday, as last time I took my camera out I forgot the memory card thus couldn't take pics (fail).
