I do like to be beside the seaside

You know that awkward moment when you receive a call from your line manager, reminding you that you start work at 7am…when its currently 7.40am and the phone ringing woke you up… yea… thankfully though, she just laughed when I said I’d overslept and I received good natured banter from my colleagues when I finally showed up.

My work schedule is now 4 days on, 3 days off (as opposed to 2 half days and 3 full days) which gave me the opportunity to accompany Liz and Allie down to the beach for their morning walk, though I took my camera and did less of the walking and more of the shooting. So here ya’ll have a nice few pictures and I’ll aim for a more wordy post after the weekend:

coastal view northward

coastal walk south

After asking some old guys if it would be ok to take some photo's of them fishing, this one gave a cheeky pose :) legend!

there's something that makes fishing seem so appealing, I will need to find out what it is sometime

P.s. For those who didn't were not exposed to all things British as a child, the title is a classic Music Hall song (as well its more obvious reference to the fact I was beside the sea this morning). It may interest/amuse you to know i was part of a local youth performing arts group in my (much) younger days that did a production of  a number of these 'Old Time Music Hall' classics... the tunes just never seem to leave you... especially the 100% saturated British cheesy ones!
